Shopify Collective - Changing product inventory policy sync (continue selling when out of stock)

Hello. I haven't found a solution for this yet, but I'm hoping someone can share a work around. have a supplier through the Collective that has their products "continue selling when out of stock". I'm trying to unselect the "continue selling when out of stock" box for their products and save them. After I save, the products revert back to selling when out stock. I'm pretty sure this is something that the Collective is doing. Is someone else experiencing this as well?
