Supplier Issues

I am reaching out for assistance regarding some challenges I have encountered with my dropshipping store, which has been operational for just over a month. I am grateful to have made three sales so far, but I have faced several issues that I would like to address.

1. First Order: I had to issue a refund to the customer because the supplier increased the shipping cost beyond my markup price, and I was unable to find a comparable item at an affordable rate.

2. Second Order: For the second sale, I had to purchase the item from Amazon, which resulted in a loss of all profits, as the supplier no longer carried the item. I made this decision to avoid losing the customer.

3. Third Order: The last order was marked as delivered; however, upon reviewing the tracking information and accompanying picture, it appears that the supplier provided incorrect tracking details, which seems to indicate an attempt at fraud.

Given these experiences, I have a couple of questions:

Why am I not receiving alerts when there are changes on the supplier's end, such as price adjustments, availability, or shipping updates?

How can I ensure that I am only working with trusted suppliers to prevent these issues in the future?

I appreciate any guidance you can provide to help me navigate these challenges.

Thank you for your assistance.

@EcoEase  Congrats on your sales! To avoid these issues, enable supplier alerts in AutoDS or DSers for price and stock changes. Always work with highly rated, reliable suppliers from vetted platforms like CJ Dropshipping or Spocket. Having backup suppliers and adjusting pricing margins can also help prevent losses.

Which platform are you using? If you're having repeat issues with suppliers and maybe best to reach out directly to the platform that you're using and see if they can intervene.

I also invite you to check us out at dropcommerce, you can take a look at our suppliers for free before starting a paid plan.
