Hello @6thGearLimit,
When a Shopify website is shut down, it can happen for various reasons. Here are three potential causes:
Violation of Shopify's Violence Policy: Shopify has strict policies against selling or promoting violence, hate speech, or any content that could incite harm. If a store is found violating this policy by selling illegal weapons, promoting violent content, or engaging in activities that support or glorify violence, Shopify may take action by shutting down the store.
Use of Unlicensed Themes: Shopify requires that all themes used on its platform be properly licensed. If a store uses a theme without the necessary license or violates the terms of the theme's usage, Shopify can shut down the website. This is to ensure that all content on the platform complies with intellectual property laws and respects the rights of theme developers.
Expired Shopify Plan: Shopify stores operate on a subscription basis, where store owners pay a monthly or yearly fee to keep their stores active. If a store owner's subscription plan expires and they fail to renew it, Shopify may temporarily suspend the store until payment is made. If the payment is not made within a certain period, the store could be permanently shut down.
See Shopify Acceptable Use Policy here
These reasons highlight the importance of adhering to Shopify's policies and maintaining a valid subscription to keep a store operational.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need assistance.
Best Regards,
DWS.
So how can I figure out what’s the issue so I can fix it and get the store back up and running
Ask to support of the shopify, go to shopify partner dashboard here, log-in with your store email ID and ask to support. Send a mail with brief details of your store and problem you've faced. They sent a mail to support of the shopify team and they generate the ticket for you for an issue.
It’s taking me to Shopify partners and will not let me log in
