Why are my featured products not appearing on my web page?

I am experiencing problems with adding a featured product to my web page. Every time I click on "select product" nothing comes up. I have made sure the product is active as well and still nothing will come up. This has been extremely frustrating because there is nothing online regarding this issue and I would have been finished the website and had it launched days ago if it wasn't for this problem.

So I finally had enough and just clicked the "Create Product" option even though I have 3 products active and done in my products section. Anyways I went through the long prosses of transferring my product to the "Create Product" option they gave me and I went back to see if that worked and nope. The only reason I did this is because it was still saying I had no products and only gave me an option to create one and I did and still didn't work. I have never had this problem with Shopify in the past and it is getting extremely frustrating I have spend the last two days now trying to simply add the product I made and there is nowhere to do that. It is pretty much impossible. This is unbelievable.  The "Create Product" option I am talking about is colored in blue.

If you use the search bar to look up your products, will that result in the products in showing up?

 

If that still doesn't work, our team can take a look at your account from our end to further help you. As this requires our team to authenticate you against the correct store, you will need to reach out to our support team via our help centre here. Once you've logged in to your store on our help centre, type in your question or the topic you need help with. After that, you should see the Get Support heading at the very bottom of the page, and you can click Continue to start a support request. From there, our support team can assist with your query further.

 

I also totally understand your frustration about the delay of your launch. Hopefully you're able to get this sorted as soon as possible, so that you can add the necessary finishing touches to your store for a successful launch. I'll leave our launch checklist here for you to go through, in case you need it prior to your store's opening.

Hi, I've read this post and I am also suffering the same issues. I see that we're all using the Theme Dawn... I am going to go ahead and assume that this is an issue with the Dawn theme. Seeing as how its June 24 2022 as I am posting this and this is STILL an issue. Is shopify going to fix this or should I go back to squarspace?

Thanks for the update, @YSLéVie. I've tested this on my end with the Dawn theme, and I was able to see a list of products to select for the Featured product section as seen on the image below.

Have you gone through some local troubleshooting, to see if that'll fix the issue for you? If not, you can go through the steps below:

  • Try to access your store via an incognito window
  • Or, you can use your usual browser but to clear the browser's cookies and cache
  • You can also try another browser. For example, if you're using Safari, you can try accessing your store on Chrome or Firefox
  • You can also try to use another device, such as your mobile or a tablet


If you're still unable to see your product list after following the steps above however, you can contact our live support team for further troubleshooting. Please login to your store via our help centre here, and select a topic that best fits your query or situation. From there, you'll be taken to a page with the heading 'Contact support', and you can scroll to the bottom of that page to select your preferred contact method with our team. Our live support team will then be able to assist you and, if needed, reach out to our technical specialists to help take a closer look at your account.

I am also using Dawn and this is STILL a problem. They should've fixed this already. It's obviously an issues with the Dawn Theme.

I HAVE THE SOLUTION (at least it worked for me)

 

So I was having the same problem with the dawn setting, not sure if its just us dawn users who experience this but anyway, ill cut the chase here.

 

So go to products, in the top right, below 'Product Stautus', click on 'Sales Channel and Apps', go to Manage, and select 'Online Store'. These are your sales channels where I believe you can sell directly on instagram or facebook etc. IDRK, anyway, click that, refresh the page a couple time if need be (it didnt work for me immediately), and viola! It should be there.

Hope this helps guys, go out and get it.
