10% Off Coupon & Disable Free Shipping

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help me with this. Right now, our site is setup with Free Shipping over $40. I have this set through the shipping portion on the back end of our website so that it is auto added to the cart if a customer reaches that amount.

However, we want to run a 10% off Coupon for a certain customer segment, but when people use this coupon, we want the free shipping option to be disabled. (So they can't use this specific coupon & get free shipping).

How can I make this happen?

Has there been any resolution on this Shopify? I see many many threads about this same issue with no answer from Shopify? Seems like an issue?
