Adding a tag to products

I wonder if anyone can help me please? I’m quite new to Shopify.

I am trying to add tags to my products, so I can then add it to a drop down menu on my homepage. I haven’t had a problem with this until the last week. For some reason the tags will not save. I just wondered if anyone else is having this problem or has something changed recently?

I think there is something wrong in the process, to be sure that it really exact in the process, I would recommend you read this guide.
