AddToCart event not tracked properly

We are using the FacebookPixel integration from Shopify. It works well but when people add more than one piece of the same product at the same time (which happens often), the facebook pixel registers that only one product was added to cart. We are using theme "Venue New 1.1".


Any idea on how we could fix this?

Hi Simon,


To my knowledge, the Facebook event fires on button click. So it will only fire when the add to cart button is clicked. Usually, people select a quantity and then click on add to cart.

Usually, Facebook's Pixel is going to track events/conversions, so it will only track every goal completion and not the number of items added to the cart.


What is the reason for you wanting to know how many products were added to the cart on Facebook?

Need to add manual code in add to cart or Use Google tag manager or use Facebook event tool setup.

This is because the page is not reloaded. If you are adding a timestamp to you add to cart Pixel it will work.
