Alot of traffic (3-6k Visitors per day) little to no sales

Hi All,

My store is currently getting around 3-6k visitors per day on TikTok ads alone. I started running tiktok ads at the start of the month however changed the algorithm to concentrate only in Canada and the US. I originally targeted other countries however I kept getting a lot of add to carts but no sales conversions.

TikTok ads have been running since 16-Mar-23 however I have only gotten 4 sales out of 24k visitors (14 add to carts, 5 reached checkout, 4 sales conversions). Does anyone have any tips I could implement in order to increase my conversions? I feel like I have alot of visitors but an absurdly low conversion rate (0.01%).

I have:

- Pop up discounts if users sign up to our newsletter

- Email Campaigns

- Tiktok videos

- IG and FB presence

Here is my product landing page:

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there, I'm Alice, a marketing expert at Marsello.

This kind of problem generally means your audience targeting needs refinement. Getting a lot of reach can generate brand awareness, but it won't necessarily lead to sales.

A few tips I'd recommend:

  • Doing some customer research. Interview some customers and find out what your product and brand value is. Understand what drove them to purchase, and distill this into some key insights.
  • Use those insights to segment and create ad audiences, email list segments etc. Try to match up your target audience and their pain points to your key product benefits.
  • Are you doing any retargeting? It could be that there are some potential buyers in all that traffic you've been generating from TikTok ads. For retargeting, you could look into Google Display/YouTube ads, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram. This can help reengage people who are brand-aware, and perhaps more in the consideration phase.
  • Set up Abandoned Cart Recovery automations. You can set up these automations using Marsello. They will remind people they've got products left unpurchased, giving you another opportunity to bring them make and make the sale. It's easy to set up, then pretty much set-and-forget.

I hope these help!

Hello @AshDomo,

Greetings from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $5Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot! I am Gina, and I am here to help.

It's great that you have already implemented some strategies to increase conversions, but here are some additional tips that you could try.

1. Optimize your product pages
Make sure your product pages are well-designed and provide all the necessary information about the product, including high-quality images, detailed descriptions, and customer reviews. Consider adding product videos as well.

2. Improve your website speed
A slow website can lead to high bounce rates and lower conversions. Use tools like Google PageSpeed Insights to identify areas where you can improve your website speed.

3. Offer free shipping
Shipping costs can be a major barrier to conversion. Consider offering free shipping or lowering the threshold for free shipping to encourage more customers to complete their purchase.

4. Use retargeting ads
Retargeting ads can help bring back customers who have shown interest in your products but haven't made a purchase yet. Set up retargeting campaigns on TikTok, Facebook, and Google Ads to remind customers about the products they were interested in.

5. Provide social proof
Display customer reviews and ratings on your product pages to provide social proof and build trust with potential customers.

6. Simplify the checkout process
Make sure the checkout process is as simple and straightforward as possible. Minimize the number of steps required to complete a purchase and avoid asking for unnecessary information.

7. Offer customer support
Make it easy for customers to get in touch with you if they have any questions or concerns. Consider offering live chat support or a dedicated customer support email.

Remember that increasing conversions is an ongoing process, and it may take some time to see results. Continuously test and optimize your strategies to find what works best for your specific audience and products.
