Our current Black Weekend mail has been sitting inactive for almost 2hrs now, with zero sent.
We've never experienced that before. Something broken? Anyone else experience the same thing?

Yep, stuck in "Sending" but not a single email sent for 3 hours.  Guess their email servers are either overloaded OR not working at all with the rush of Black Friday campaigns.

Same. It's been stuck on sending for 7 hours now. I've entirely missed Black Friday communications because of this issue.

Black Friday ended two hours ago. Not a single email was sent of our campaigns with time sensitive marketing materials. So disappointed. What happened to Shopify?

I was on the chat with them last night they knew it was down. I had ZERO traffic from the time it went down on what should have been our busiest night of the year. They said they will “compensate” those affected but how can they? No sales on Black Friday is not going to be remedied with some bogus apologies.

We had a great day until 7/8pm and everything slowed. Emails never sent out until 3-4am today and those promos were over. I understand issues but what I don’t understand is lack of communication and transparency. Post something on dashboard, send an email, do something to let shops know there is an issue and you are actively working on it. Problem started early am yesterday and it didn’t go on board until 4pm. Not cool.

That’s what annoyed me, I had spent three hours trying to figure out what was happening to the email before I managed to get hold of someone at Shopify. I expected them to tell us somewhere if they have a known fault they knew it existed five hours before I spoke to them.
