I'm currently focused on new customer acquisition - and I'd like to attribute this in a way similar to how Google Analytics attributes revenue/conversions (in the various Attribution Models or Multi-Channel Funnel).
A consultant I have chatted with suggested doing this via Google Tag Manager, but I feel like figuring that out might not be the best use of my time.
Are there any reporting apps that might be able to do this? From browsing the App Store, nothing mentions this explicitly. I have reached out to a few of those developers/sales people with this question, but haven't heard back yet.
If the traffic comes from a site you could always use UTM Tracking parameters to attribute customer acquisition. You can find more information here: https://agencyanalytics.com/blog/utm-tracking. For any question, don't hesitate to contact us on Webmefy.com
Yeah, we have UTM tracking working well in Google Analytics - and we're seeing attribution for revenue and orders. However, I want to know that specifically for new customer acquisition. And I'm not sure how to capture customer info (some sort of GA customer ID, maybe?) and compare it to our existing customer list.
ok, I think I more or less understand what you want to do 🙂 That would require some customization work with your analytics, is possible though. Maybe this helps you: https://www.optimizesmart.com/complete-guide-to-dimensions-and-metrics-in-google-analytics/
I don't know about any apps that help with that, though maybe you can find some Goals in the Analytics Gallery that might help you with that: https://analytics.google.com/analytics/gallery/#landing/start/
