Best PPC advertising app for a home decor store?

Best PPC advertising app for a home decor store?

Hello community!

We have recently launched our Shopify store Faux Floras that retails artificial plants to USA based customers. We would love to hear which PPC advertising apps would be most suitable for advertising our product range.

We have tried the Google app so far with no results. Seeing an average CPC of $1.22 with the performance max campaign type, which seems quite high. Next, we are looking to trial the Pinterest and Meta apps due to their visual nature.

Any guidance based on personal experience within the home decor space would be appreciated, thanks!

Google ads is a self serve platform. The google and youtube app does not manage or will not guarantee success. It's just an app to submit product details to Google Merchant Center.

And Performanc max will use the data to target relevant consumers.

While there are 3rd party tools out there, you should still need to improve the data feed quality, and of course be approved in the first place, which I believe you are not.

So after you are approved, improve your data by following: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7052112?hl=en

It's not an app that you need, but rather consider testing different strategies in Google Ads before you make a call.

I'd suggest you test Standard Shopping, which allows you to set max CPC caps and regularly check for search terms to make sure your products are matched to the right keywords. If they're not it could suggest you should work on your product titles. The top 3 attributes in the feed in the order of priority are title, price and primary image. Most often, if you nail those, you'll get good results. Bare in mind average conversion rates for an ecomm store are 1-2%. For new stores, that might be lower in the range of 0.4%-0.7% so have realistic expectations and budget accordingly 🙂

And it doesn't hurt to try running ads on supporting channels like Meta & Pinterest.

Hi @FauxFloras

Since home decor is highly visual, Pinterest Ads and Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Ads are great choices. Pinterest works well for lifestyle-focused products like artificial plants, as users actively search for home inspiration. Try Shopify’s Pinterest app to sync your catalog and run shopping ads.

For Meta Ads, start with dynamic product ads to retarget store visitors. Also, test interest-based targeting for people who engage with home decor content. You may also want to try TikTok Ads, as short-form video content showcasing styling ideas can drive engagement.

Hey FauxFloras,

There is no app as such that specializes in specific industry ads. However, there are apps that can help your PPC efforts by optimizing your product feed. Ultimately your strategy is what will rake in success.

If your CPC is high, then I would recommend using manual bidding first rather than automated bidding--set the maximum amount you want to spend on a click. Look into your campaign settings as well (check your keyword matching, have  you added negative keywords?)

You should also check your quality score, ad relevance, landing page, ad copy, etc.

I do have one app recommendation. You mentioned you want to run Meta and Pinterest ads as well. You can check out Nabu For Google Shopping Feed, the app supports google shopping ads, pinterest ads, meta ads, tik tok ads, and more. With this app, you will get a lot of features that will help optimize your ad campaigns. For example, you can get keyword recommendations for product listings, or you title suggestions supported by gpt 4-o mini. Each product's attribute is also given a score in accordance with Google Shopping's standards.

Another helpful feature is that it keeps all your product feeds synced across all the ad platforms you run your ads on, the feeds are also AI optimized. The support team is great by the way, if you incur any issues they will walk you through the solution step by step.

Let me know if you have any questions 🙂
