Hello All, Does anyone have suggestions regarding how to market to the industrial sector? Specifically to production/manufacturing facilities & for maintenance work. We sell specialty tools & equipment used by these types of business. Marketing to these folks (compared to retail customers) is a bit out of my wheelhouse. Here's our site below and some examples of products we want to push, and to who. Any insight would be great!

Hi @Shopena,

Alice here from Marsello. In a past life, I marketed to a similar audience, so I understand how it feels different from a typical retail persona!

My advice would be...

  1. Take a look at your customer data. Are there any trends? Do customers who buy X seem to also buy Y? Do you have some clear industries that you serve? You can start to build niche segments from your customer list and use these to send targeted promotions and sales.
  2. Separate your customer list into loyalty tiers or RFM segments. You can reward your most frequent or highest-value customers with extra discounts or deals to build engagement and loyalty (and encourage repeat purchasing).
  3. Show your products in action. I love how you tell the story of your products (e.g. the story about Fisso). You could take this a step further and create content that shows how your products work, and/or show them in action. If you're that way inclined, you could translate this into Instagram or TikTok content.
  4. Ask your customers for (private) feedback. See what your customers think — are they enjoying your products? Your service? If you ask them directly, you'll be surprised what you learn.

The biggest thing really is getting to know your audience really well, and building up that data to serve better marketing.

Hopefully that's helpful!

Al

The best way to market to companies in the industrial sector is to develop a targeted approach that addresses their specific needs and challenges. This can be achieved through a combination of strategies, including:

  1. Establishing a strong online presence with a well-designed website that showcases your products and services, and optimizing it for search engines.

  2. Creating valuable content such as blog posts, white papers, and case studies that address the pain points of your target audience and establish your expertise.

  3. Engaging in social media platforms that are popular among industrial companies and sharing content that resonates with your audience.

  4. Networking with industry professionals, attending trade shows and events, and participating in industry associations to build your reputation and make connections.

  5. Offering targeted promotions, discounts, or incentives to attract new customers and build brand loyalty.

Remember that the industrial sector is very diverse, so it's important to understand the unique needs and characteristics of your target audience and tailor your marketing strategy accordingly.
