Blog featured images not showing up on RSS feed and subsequently to MailChimp for rss-to-email integration

I'm attempting to create a newsletter via MailChimps rss-to-email integration, but the featured images are not showing up.  Here is how my rss item box is written:

*|RSSITEMS:5|*
*|RSSITEM:IMAGE|*
*|RSSITEM:TITLE|*
*|RSSITEM:DATE:m/d/y|*
*|RSSITEM:CONTENT|*

*|END:RSSITEMS|*

 

Recent Articles:

*|RSS:RECENT|*

Everything shows up except the *|RSSITEM:IMAGE|*.  From the research it appears it is because shopify does not add the https:// before the image url.  Is there any way I can force it in there so that the RSS can read that?  I am using feedburner to produce the rss.  The feedburner url is: http://feeds.feedburner.com/Plugins4Labtech-News.
