SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hello,
I have a problem with this blog post, I published more than a week ago and looks like it's still not indexed:
https://www.wake-style.com/blogs/news/winter-wetsuit-buyers-guide-2021
The meta tag is "index", the url correctly appear on the sitemap.xml and now is also marked as indexed on the Search console, but I still can't find it on Google.
The last cached copy of the site is from yesterday.
Any suggestion?
Many thanks

Yeah that's unusual. Submit your sitemap again in GSC and wait a day. It's not showing soft-404 or anything like that in GSC?
Hi Kieran,
no, no 404 or any other issue, the post normally appear in the blog section.
I will try to cancel and submit again the sitemap.xml and let you know.

Yeah just looked again did a quick crawl. Still nothing suuper obvious. The site is relatively new though,
Also just spitballing, but the site is possibly in some kind of sandbox behind the scenes. You running ads? I always personally like to throw up some Google Ads for new sites anyway as SOP. But I've anecdotally found that it seems to act as a form of validation to get you "out of the sandbox".
Another thought - I'm wondering if it's possible you've hit some kind of crawl budget limit being a new site with ~4.5k URLs. You could maybe try flatten the whole site structure and see if this fixes. Simple as change in the collections template.
Basically turn internal links to these:
/collections/all/products/element-oddie-tee
/collections/t-shirts-man/products/element-oddie-tee
Into this:
/products/element-oddie-tee
But opinions vary on pros/cons here. IMO worth a test to see if it helps drop down your page count. Hard to see if new site crawl or render budget is the culprit on Shopify as they don't provide access logs.
Hi Grillo,
Google's indexing rate is slow right now. Classically, you could manually submit the post URL inside your Google Search Console account and it would index within a few minutes. Unfortunately, Google has temporarily suspended that tool, but hopefully it will be back soon.
Okay today is your lucky day, I just checked and they turned the indexing tool back on! Setup your Google Search Console account and submit all your new urls there.
Hope this helps,
Alex
Hey @1WebAlex, thanks for providing the update of indexing feature as I also facing the same problem from last one month!!

Hello Kiearan,
many thanks for your kind suggestions, I read the news and re-submitted the url to the Search Console, even though it is already marked as indexed.
I'm giving it a couple of days, otherwire I'll try your tip for saving crawl budget.
Many thanks and seasonal greetings 🙏

Hi Alex,
thanks for your advice, the url results as indexed on the Search Colsole, even though the post still doesn't show on Google.
I read the news and tried to re-submit it, I'm giving it a couple of days, otherwise I will try the solution suggested by Kieran.
🙏
