Blog posts not ranking

Hi all, I'm new here!

I wrote a blog post targeting low ranking keywords 6 months ago but it's no where to be seen on Google. I have done all of the basics but it isn't ranking.

Interestingly my products are ranking quite well for some keywords but none of my blog posts are. 

Am I missing something really important?
