SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
I have an issue where I am seeing sales by channel not as defined as I had hoped. For Google (Sales Channel) it's labeled as organic, but I'm not seeing a Sales Channel for Google Ads. I drive around 35% of sales from Google Ads and I'm trying to be able to segment products sold by channel.
Is this a Shopify thing or a Google thing? I'm not finding many resources out there, currently.
Google sales channel app in Shopify uses the same parameters to track all the conversions that, include organic traffic and paid Google ads. Since it is a free app, little can be done. You can add a Conversion tracking app to track the conversion through Google Ads.
You can also use a feed app, like Nabu, for Google Shopping that sends a UTM parameter to track the sales from Google Ads.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
