Hi Help
I am trying to do facebook ads for my shopify store www.skinandslimbody.com. I am scared to make a Facebook page for my business because I don't want my friends to see. Is there a way to not let any of my Facebook friends see. I do not understand.

Hey @connor15,
Not to worry! People cannot see the Facebook pages you own. The pages are linked to your account, but they act as a separate entity from your personal account. Your friends won't get a notification unless you decide to invite them to like your Page. Your profile also won't be linked to this Page in any way unless you decide to feature yourself as a Page owner or you turn your personal account to the Facebook page (with some conditions applied).
It's against the Facebook Terms to use your personal account to represent something other than yourself (for example; your business), and you could permanently lose access to your account if you don't convert it to a Page.
If you're using your profile to represent a business, there are many benefits to converting your profile to a Page.
Pages are designed for businesses and organizations, with features that help you connect with customers and reach your goals
You'll have access to Page insights, where you can see metrics like which posts people engage with and visitor demographics like age and location
Page roles can let you give other people access to edit your Page
You can create ads and boost posts
TIP: If you're looking to become more confident with investing in Facebook Ads to grow your business, I recommend checking out this Shopify Learn course. You’ll learn the step-by-step process to use Facebook and Instagram advertising to re-engage visitors to your Shopify store. Shopify Learn provides you with webinars and courses on things like store design, marketing, and more. It's 100% free for everyone and new content is being added all the time. This program will help you drive more traffic into your store and also convert that traffic into sales.

Hi @connor15, thanks for leaving your question.
The only scenario where your Facebook friends know that you're an admin of a Page is when you decide to invite them to like your page. Some business owners do this when they first launch a page (mostly it's the easiest way to get new likes and engagements for a brand new page) and it's totally normal. If you don't want your friends to see/ know that you're managing a page, then you could choose to not invite them to like your page.
Also, Facebook states clearly that information from your personal Facebook profile won't appear on your Facebook Page unless you share it there. Your profile and Page are considered separate on Facebook.
We suggest you skim through the Facebook learning hub for more information.
Hope this helps!
