Can I use the customers orders for marketing?

Hey, I'm new to shopify and I'm starting a personalised poster business. Can I use the customers orders for marketing? If so, how do I ask for consent? Would a simple tick box stating " I give my permission to (Business name) to use my photo for marketing purposes" be enough? If not, how do I go about personalising my product?

You could do is reach out to your merchants individually and ask them if they'd be okay with it - it's always best to have their consent in writing. That being said, we aren't legal experts here so I recommend contacting a local legal expert to see if this is something they'd be able to give you advice on. Some communities will have local start up business centers that can provide advice like this to help small businesses for free, so it's worth checking your area to see if this kind of support is available.
