I do not have the domain settings icon to edit my dns settings? can you help?
Hi, @tomtoms!
Welcome to Shopify Community.
Thanks for connecting with us and sharing your question. Domain DNS settings are only present within Shopify when the domain itself was purchased through Shopify. Otherwise, the domain DNS settings will be available through any third-party domain provider from which you purchased the domain.
Can you let me know where you purchased your domain and what DNS records you are trying to change? That way I can definitely provide further guidance.
Warm regards,

Hello @tomtoms,
Greetings from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot! I am Gina, and I am here to help.
If you're unable to locate the domain settings icon in your Shopify admin, there are several potential reasons for this issue. Let's examine a few troubleshooting measures to assist you in resolving the issue.
* Verify your access permissions
Please ensure that you have the necessary permissions to access domain settings in Shopify. Typically, only the store owner or staff members with full permission can make changes in this area. Double-check your access level.
* Complete domain ownership verification
Prior to modifying DNS settings, Shopify requires you to verify your domain ownership. Make sure you have completed the domain verification process, which can be found in the Shopify admin under Online Store > Domains.
* Confirm domain registration
Verify that your domain is registered through Shopify or connected to your Shopify store. If your domain is registered elsewhere, you'll need to follow the appropriate steps to connect it to your Shopify store.
* Clear cache and try a different browser
Occasionally, browser cache or extensions can interfere with the display of certain features. Clear your browser cache or attempt using a different browser to see if the domain settings icon becomes visible.
* Seek assistance from Shopify support
If you've followed the above steps and still cannot locate the domain settings icon, it's advisable to directly contact Shopify support.
Refer to this guide on editing the DNS settings for your Shopify-managed domain.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you require any additional assistance.
