Can't Verify Domain with Google Merchant Center

Hi Everyone!

I'm having a problem setting up my Google Merchant Center account. What's happening is that I need to 'claim' the domain where my products are stored, but the products are actually at mydomain-myshopify.com, which I don't actually own, so I can't claim it. Is anyone else having this problem? I have a Lite account by the way, so if I enter the tracking tag into my theme's (Debut) liquid file, nothing happens, because that theme isn't technically active. Thanks in advance!

Hey, everyone!

We’re following up on this thread as it mentions the Shopify Lite plan.

We’d like to announce that as of June 22nd, 2022, we have launched the Shopify Starter Plan! The Starter Plan will be $5 per month and will be replacing the Shopify Lite plan ($9/month).

The Starter Plan includes everything merchants need to build social-first businesses, on their phone. The plan allows merchants to create product pages that are easily shareable across social and messaging apps, powered by Shopify checkout, payment, order, and analytics features.

Make sure you have chosen html tag when you install it in the theme. Follow the tutorial in the official docs below by going to HTML Tag

The HTML file upload method also works. See https://help.shopify.com/themes/customization/store/verify-domain-with-third-party-services#verify-u...

To verify in Google, you will have to remove the characters following and including the question mark character, when you setup the redirect. I prefer this method as any theme changes or domain changes make it easy to re-verify.

It becomes very difficult to verify your domain in Google if you want to do it manually. We have developed an app Easy Google Shopping Feed which automates the process of claiming a website. This saves a lot of your valuable time.

In case you need to verify your website please download the Easy Google Feed App, any feedback will be appreciated.
