Has anyone experienced issues with checking the status of their websites? I recently worked on a tool that allows users to easily check the status of any website and monitor performance. Here’s the tool if you’re interested: https://aiswifttools.com/website-status-checker.
It sounds like you’ve been running into trouble when trying to check if a website is up and running. This is a common issue, especially if you’re managing an online store or business site where uptime is crucial. Sometimes, a website might appear down due to server issues, network problems, or even regional outages.
There are a few quick ways to see if your website is actually down or if it’s just an issue on your end:
1-Use an Online Website Status Checker
Tools like AISwiftTools Website Status Checker (which you mentioned) or others like DownDetector and IsItDownRightNow can instantly check if a website is online globally.
2-Try a Different Network or Device
If you can’t access your site, test it on another network (like switching from WiFi to mobile data) or use a different device. Sometimes, local network settings or firewall rules block access.
3-Check Your Hosting Provider’s Status Page
If your site is hosted on Shopify, AWS, or another platform, they often have a status page showing real-time server issues. For Shopify users, you can check Shopify’s status page.
4-Clear Cache and Test in Incognito Mode
Your browser might be storing an outdated version of the site. Try opening it in an incognito/private window to see if that fixes the issue.
5-Use the Ping and Traceroute Commands
If you’re comfortable with command-line tools, you can test connectivity by running:
6-Check Your Domain & SSL Certificate
If your domain has expired or your SSL certificate is invalid, your website might not load properly. You can check this using Whois Lookup for domain expiration and SSL Labs for SSL issues.
