Hi, @albamaria!
Thanks for reaching out in our Community forums and for sharing your concern, I’d be happy to help.
You mentioned that you are currently setting up your store, congratulations on getting started! How far along the setup process are you? The General Checklist is a great tool that will ensure that you have your Shopify store all set up and ready for customers to make purchases on. In other words, having a finished product, that includes having your media, shipping and check out all in working order.
When thinking about sending emails, it's best practice to send marketing emails to customers who have opted in to receive email marketing from your business. Depending on where you have obtained your list, it may damage your reputation and have a negative impact on your email deliverability. For instance, if some of the users on the mailing list are not interested, you run the risk of decreasing your open rate and being flagged as spam. We have an awesome help document that goes over this called Importing and exporting customer lists.
I'd like to know more about your business. Have you announced to your existing customers that you are building a new store? If so, did you communicate this through social media or a different method?
