Delete Google Merchant Sub-account

I didn't want a Google Merchant Account just wanted to set up a Google Console but my site tech added Google Merchant in error. Now I'm trying to delete the account. My tech got it off of my shopify store but it still shows up on my google account.

I tried to delete it but the message says, "This account is a sub-account. It is linked to a main account. To delete this sub-account, contact the administrator of the main account."

Does this mean shopify is the admin. of the main account?

Long story short - you have to ask Shopify to delete your account as they become the main account holder when it gets linked.
