SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hi there
Up until very recently google has started showing a different title and meta description to what I have provided in Shopify.
I have not made any changes to the title or meta description in some time.
Below are photos to help explain the issue.
I am unsure how to fix this? any suggestions?
Thanks!

TLDR; make them shorter.
Yeah @George_Brown19 is right, it's pretty normal to have meta descriptions and titles rewritten by Google. It happens ~60% of the time.
Also, I wouldn't recommend relying on the Shopify character length fields for a couple reasons:
These are better tools (there are lots) to estimate lengths:
Even if you get your lengths right, you can't force Google to use your meta-description or title tag. Think of setting metas + titles as suggestions to Google, not instructions.
If you make better suggestions (accurately reflect on-page content, within field length limits) then from experience, it tends to be more likely that Google will use your copy, and not "decide" to algorithmically replace with it's own generated snippet.

I have seen that Google is showing different page titles and page descriptions. As I understood, you want to appear the meta description as same as on the home page.

Hello everyone,
I am having kinda same problem .In google search it shows as like
" This website uses cookies to ensure you get the best experience on our website. Learn More. OK. Log in with passport ...`"
Can anyone help me on this ?
@ossi without knowing any context here, can only really guess. Maybe no meta descriptions, or google is choosing to rewrite for the same reasons above. Fix, recrawl in GSC then wait a day.
Failing that I would look at altering your HTML structure so that the cookie popup text is not as semantically important within the markup.
Hi @Tropicolour, I have the same issue as you are. It's normal for the meta description to not appear as expected. Do you charge to use Yoast SEO or use it for free?
