Display Shopify Product Review Stars in Google Shopping Ads

Shopify please help (Merchants please like this if you need this). Google have a simple way to display Product star ratings (from Shopify Product reviews) next to our Google Shopping ads. We see other stores selling our products with 5 stars next to their ads, which boosts their ad ROI. Hoping it's a simple fix for Shopify because the product review ratings are already showing in Google organic search results - and we've spent years compiling product reviews so lets share them 🙂

Two steps are required:

(1) Shopify needs to submit a Google Product Ratings Partnership Request

(2) Once Shopify is approved, Shopify Merchants can apply to Google Product Ratings, via the merchant centre to their Shopify Product rating displays in in Google Shopping ads. 

Shopify, please note this info on the Google Product Ratings page: "If you are a product reviews aggregator or service provider and you're interested in helping your merchant customers show their reviews to users, please submit a Product Ratings Partnership Request instead and we'll get back to you within two weeks."

Just use a compatible app to get on Product Ratings. Judge.me is a far more flexible and feature-rich solution then Shopify's free version. You can learn more about Product Ratings, Seller Ratings, Dynamic Remarketing, and all other Merchant Center programs for Shopify.

What about a store like ours which has thousands of 5 star product reviews from our old Volusion site that we imported. How do we get Google to show these? I am in the process of adding the free Google Reviews but I'd hate to have to start all over when we have years of awesome reviews prior to migrating to shopify last month. Is there a way to create a review feed within shopify of existing product reviews to submit to Google?

Hi - we contacted Google Reviews some time ago, and were advised they
cannot import product reviews from other systems. Sorry.

I knew that but it will work as a solution going forward. I have yet to find any solution that will pull in old reviews.

Judge.me aren't an approved aggregator for Merchant center either. You'd have to go through the same process to include your review ratings on Google Shopping for both.

This is not a "fix" I'd expect Shopify to make. It is a significant feature request changing the direction of their free app. Feature wise, they haven't changed the app in years. I suggest what I originally suggested.

Would love to see this happen so we don't have to pay for an expensive platform! We currently use Yotpo and they're really great, but so expensive for a small business.

How to upload a product review feed to google? How does this work? No one seems to have the answers and the follow along on google does not have a Shopify solution

My program would generate the xml file you need first to enable your Google merchant center product ratings feed following instructions here Google Products Ratings  

Please note that you need already 50 reviews to get accepted

You mentioned you had a program to use the Shopify Review App reviews and submit them to Google as an XML file. Where can we find this program? Do you have an app on Shopify that does this?
