SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hi Fam.
Since Kitcrm has passed on, I've been having issues with my FB Retargeting Ads. I run the ads adjust the budgets but get zero hits. I was looking through the settings and see that my pixel is the one that was created by Kitcrm. Should I create a new pixel in order for ads to run?
Does the old pixel have data linked to it that I will loose, it was in use for about 5 years.
Thank you
You really want to use the old pixel, especially if it's got that much old data on it. I'm not sure in your specific case, but there's a way to check. Is the pixel setup through the Facebook channel? That's how Shopify natively handles it. I suspect kitcrm would do the same.
What matters in Business Manager is that you own the pixel. See if you can find the pixel ID in business manager. It'll say whether you own it. This should line up with the pixel ID used at the ad level (in your ads). You can also use the chrome pixel helper extension to confirm the intended pixel ID is used on your store(s).
@Josh_Uebergang Hi Josh, Thanks for your response. I have checked and i do own the pixel. The pixel ID matches the settings in shopify and in the FB app within Shopify.
When i run a campaign from within shopify it does not work.
Has anyone experienced this issue before?
Thanks
Is there any reason you are running a campaign through Shopify? If it's buggy, log into Business Manager, then Ads Manager yourself and create one with more control.
