Do I need a VAT number to advertise on TikTok in the UK?

I am trying to make an adv on TIKTOK and it asks for VAT number. However I have not a VAT number.
I am based in UK. I have created a new online shop on shopiffy
What do I need to do? Do I have to make a VAT?

I'm in the same position did you ever get this sorted? It seems you are unable to proceed through the shopify / tik tok set up with a VAT number. I have a company reg number.. I dobn't see how this would work if its for VAT reg companies only?
