SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hi, I've been running facebook ads on facebook and instragram for a couple of weeks and was wondering if facebook/instagram following (the amount of followers/likes you have) affects your facebook ads results. I would imagine that someone would have less trust issues at a website with a large following compared to a low following. But just how much does it affect facebook ads.
I've tested facebook ads on two product: #1:https://carnaments.com/collections/wedding and #2:https://carnaments.com/collections/trending/products/flower-bag-holders and got combined:
300 clicks (all)
172 link clicks
Of website visitors:
6% added to cart
4% initiated checkout
0% sessions converted
(Checkout works properly)
My question: My website doesn't have any following does that affect my conversion rate? Btw my website is not perfect but not bad either if I say so myself and I know that there are A LOT of factors at play when it comes to conversion rates. My website: https://carnaments.com/
Any help for my website(like design tips or description tips) or answers to my question or reviews are appreciated!
Thank you for reading!

Ad results are impacted by the effectiveness of your ads. The more you're able to accurately target your audience and serve up ads that are relevant based on their interests, the better your results will be. 6% add to cart isn't bad. With 0 purchases on 300 clicks, I'd revisit your ad targeting first and then those products to identify any possible disconnects.
Following could factor in but there are usually much bigger questions. How unique is your brand? Do you have the right products at the right price? Are you competitive on shipping?

Thank for the help Shawn!
You brought up some good points, I can understand how the product descriptions are bland. I'll be changing them as soon as I can.
About my targeting, I've struggled a long time with finding the right audience. I've tried using audience insights along with some brainstorming. Do you know of any other ways to sort of scout for better audiences?
Thanks again for your reply!
Guessing your website isn't generating enough traffic to start to experiment with lookalike audiences. Remarketing is an option. Continue to experiment with different ad sets and see which work better. Same with ads.
Thanks Shawn,
I've heard that using A/B tests costs less money for scouting than using multiple ad sets, but that ad sets are better for the long run.
I think I will try running an A/B test with multiple audiences.
