Email Issue

My Shopify store is currently password-protected and hasn’t gone live yet. I’ve been editing the email templates, and when I use the ‘Send test email’ feature, the changes I made show up correctly. However, when a real email is triggered, such as through a test order, the changes don’t appear. I’m trying to figure out why the edits show up in test emails but not in the actual ones being sent

Hi @AL3DStudio

The issue occurs because Shopify uses separate email templates for different scenarios. Here's how to fix it:

1-Ensure All Templates Are Updated:

  • Go to Settings > Notifications in your Shopify admin.
  • Open the specific email template you edited.
  • Confirm that the changes are saved for the actual email being triggered (e.g., Order Confirmation, Shipping Confirmation).

2-Clear Browser Cache:

  • Sometimes, cached versions may cause discrepancies. Clear your browser cache and re-check the template.

3-Test with a Live Order:

  • Place a real test order using a low-priced product to confirm that the updated email template works correctly.

4-Check Third-Party Apps:

  • If you're using apps that modify email notifications, ensure they don't override your templates.

If you have other questions, feel free to ask me.

Best regards,
Daisy
