what app do you guys recommend and use? and why does no one talk about the notifications in settings in Shopify?

I've been using MailChimp [yes you can still use it with Shopify via an app like Privy]. Very happy with them.

Diverted into using Klaviyo for a bit but returned to MailChimp - it's powerful and easier to work with.

Agree with using Klaviyo or Mailchimp.  They seem to have the most robust feature sets and best user experience.

Hi, I think you should have a look around Mail Chimp. It's is a simple to use email marketing tool for bloggers and smaller websites as it comes with a free plan.

To add onto both @TungDao and @Rockpapercopy's suggestions, Mailchimp is a quite popular option for merchants who use email marketing. If you plan on using Mailchimp, you can sync both Mailchimp and Shopify using an integration app like ShopSync. As this app syncs your products, customers, orders, and more with Mailchimp, it's a quite popular option amongst Mailchimp fans and has excellent reviews.

Personally, I recommend checking out Omnisend or Klaviyo. Both of these apps can be managed directly through your Shopify Admin, meaning you won't have to open a separate website to manage your email marketing. These apps also include pre-built automated email campaigns, the ability to send customers recommended products, in-depth analytics, and both offer integrations with apps like Yotpo and Smile.io to increase customer engagement.

As one of our most popular apps in the App Store, Privy is another great option ,known for their excellent support team and user-friendly interface. If you are already using Privy for a newsletter signup pop-up on your homepage, then you could also take advantage of their email marketing feature. Feel free to learn more about it here.

It's also worth noting that Shopify recently announced a new built-in email marketing feature, Shopify Email. This new feature will include pre-built templates and will allow you to create, run and track email marketing campaigns natively inside Shopify, and more. It also integrates with Shopify Analytics, so you can track the performance on your campaigns. While it hasn't been rolled out just yet, you can apply for early access here.
