Hello,
We have Google Analytics account connected to our shop in admin panel, and enabled function "Limit data collection for EU buyers" in "Customer privacy" block.
Is it possible to know, how it affects on data being sent to GA? Does it send to GA the information whether user opt-in or not for marketing cookies when sending the events?
If we want to use Remarketing campaigns and build audiences in GA based on the events coming from Shopify (e.g. Products Viewed) - can we be sure that with the option mentioned above GA knows opted-in users and will run campaigns only on them?
Thank you!
We also have Google connected as Sales channel to the shop, and apparently it sends data to Google Ads account, e.g. we can build audiences there based on user who viewed particular pages on the shop. So the same question here - whether Shopify notifies Google Ads with this integration, which users gave their consent for marketing cookies?
