Facebook ads shows website purchases but..

My ad campaign shows purchases for a certain product that promoting. But there are no orders on my Shopify admin. Am I doing something wrong?

I did install Facebook Pixel on my Shopify store. There are other products that I'm promoting as well and it show my sales and it is synced with my Facebook Ads website purchases.

Please can someone help me

Hi, 

It sounds like there is a problem with the Facebook pixel and it might be recording when someone places in cart, rather than purchases. I would try removing the Facebook pixel and installing the Facebook app in order to track these purchases. 

However, it is important to note that the Facebook pixel is not always accurate and typically reports slightly higher than your Shopify dashboard. Always refer to the Shopify dashboard to find the actual sales generated from a Facebook ad.

I have the same problem too, but the purchase on my facebook manager says it was $20,999...

When someone add the product to the shopping cart and try to buy using Paypal button, your facebook pixel get that as a purchase even if the person doesn't complete the purchase.

I guess only Shopify tech support would address this issue.

This is quite a regular issue.

If you've added a Facebook pixel in the Shopify backend, then try to remove it and install it via an app like Pixel Perfect or Trackify.

I am so confused because facebook ad says I have one website purchase but I cannot find that order on Shopify. What should I do?

I'm having the same problem now. Facebook ads says I have 9 but nothing on shopify. Did you manage to find out?

nah unfortunately I didn’t but I just a started running some new adds yesterday and it says the same thing as before I got a sale but I can’t see it in my shopify store.

@dangelmen FB pixel gives wrong information. There is no one way to to fix this but try methods and one of / mix of those will resolve.

Many apps claim they solve the problem, and could give them a try (search for social media analytics or FB analytics for ecommerce etc on shopify).

I have the same problem. I began running ads and it said I got 7 purchases but when I went to my shopify store and tried to fulfill them I couldn’t find the purchases. Did you get it fixed? If so how and what should I do?
