Facebook Commerce Account Location Restriction - UK Business

I am trying to complete setting up Facebook on Shopify and it tells me I need to Create a Commerce account to start selling on Facebook. I have a Facebook shop I have imported the catalogue, and the business is in the UK.
But frustratingly I'm told, "We’re unable to create your Commerce Account because Facebook Shops and Instagram Shopping is unavailable in your region. Learn more about Commerce Eligibility Requirements." I've been trying to fix this for more than a week now, and I'm just going around in circles.

I've seen other threads where people have the same problem but the suggested solutions simply don't work for me, and I followed the steps very closely.

Does anyone have the slightest idea how I can fix this, or more likely, how to find someone that can fix it for me?

Just an update for anyone in a similar situation, I think the problem is related to my unique circumstances, as although the store is UK, I spend half my time in China and verified my FB account with my China mobile number, so I think FB is a bit confused about where I am which is causing the issue.

I reached out to Shopify support and they have advised the following. So if you are encountering the same issue, maybe this will help you:

"...I would suggest reaching out to them [Facebook] for further context. I suggest this because they would have the internal tools to provide you further information on the error.

Here are the steps to contact Facebook:

1. Head to your Business Manager.
2. Click the little question mark in the window that pops up
3. Click Contact Support team on the right hand side
4. Select the page that you are connecting, select your reason (if you cannot find the appropriate reason here, you can select Other Page issue), and then chat away!"

And just as an update, I have finally got it working now after a whole lot faffing about with verification codes and my UK mobile number, so at least for the time being it's working and I can stop pulling my hair out.
