Hi, my Ads Manager is showing double the sales I actually make on my Shopify store. I noticed that Facebook is not deduplicating my browser and server events. Instead, it’s adding them together, which results in every sale being counted twice, Add to carts counted twice etc (basically all events are counted twice)…making data analysis impossible to read and inaccurate. I used the Shopify integration to set my pixel and the Conversion API. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! I’ve been looking for a solution for days now and it seems like the only option is to get a developper to do it through Google Tag Manager or …any ideas on how to solve the issue? Here’s picture of events testing I’ve done as there are no error messages in the diagnostics

Thanks for your query.
As you are using shopify integration or Facebook and Instagram app to configure the pixel you have nothing much to do.
You can try reconnecting the pixel and test.
If the issue still persists consider using Google Tag Manager GTM.
GTM is a manual process to set up pixel and conversion API. Both event sources are duplicated by a unique event ID. So no possibilities of event duplications.
Furthermore GTM enables us to configure first party domain/subdomain to accurate data tracking and increase the event match quality up to 9.3 for purchase evnet.
GTM configuration consists of 4 major steps:
1. Custom Datalayer setup for purchase event in custom pixel. save and connect
2. Datalayer variable creation like content name, content Id, content category,value, currency, transaction ID, items array
3. Trigger creations
4. Tag creation using facebook template and assigning the variables and trigger

I highly recommend using an app to resolve this as you have mentioned in one of your replies that doing it manually might require developer expertise.
Try using Nabu: Meta & Facebook Pixels, it's completely free. And it can resolve the dedupilication issue you have mentioned (automatic deduplication with zero errors).
The app essentially will take care of the developer side of things, no theme file changes needed, no coding needed, etc. You can also add multiple fb or meta pixels, all the data is available on your dashboard.
