Facebook Page - remove page owner

Hello

We have been having issues with our Facebook page. Our Facebook page was created a couple of years ago (before I joined) and it states that it is owned by someone, for which we don't have access to the Facebook account that originally created the Facebook page for us and we can't seem to remove this in order to connect our Facebook/Instagram pages to our Shopify store as we would like them connected to list our products. I am a admin on Page Roles which I thought would mean I could then be able to do this?

Does anyone know if I need to contact either Shopify or Facebook to remove the current Page Owner?

Elias here with Shopify Support. Thank you for reaching out.

While you can manage the Facebook sales channel on Shopify with your admin role; however, changing the Page Roles is something that you'd have to do directly on Facebook. I've taken a look at Facebook's guide on How do I assign or change a Page Owner for my Facebook Page? and it seems that only the original Page Owner can do this. If you're unable to get in touch with the original owner, then I'd recommend reporting the problem to Facebook's Support team.
