Facebook Pixel not tracking some purchases / conversions

Had a pixel installed on my shopify store and up until recently it's performed very well, i'd say 90%+ of the time purchases./conversion events were captured accurately.  However recently (in the last 2 weeks or so) the accuracy has gone down dramatically, sometimes 30-40% of purchases would not be recorded on ad manager.  I haven't installed any new apps, the only difference I think may have an effect is that recently most of my orders have come through shoppay whereas previously its been through paypal.  I don't think that would matter too much though?

I installed facebook pixel helper and did some test purchases, and the pixel fired normally, no error. 

I asked around and some of my peers/mentors have recommended using trackify app.  Has anyone else gone through a similar problem like this?  any thoughts on solutions?
