SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hi, I ve been running fb ads for 2 months and I think I might found the best ad so far. Targeting 95% video viewed LLA and filtering it to a specific interest. The campaign started very well with almost 20$ per purchase but now after 6 days it is 50$ per purchase. http://prntscr.com/ohrcwb this is my funnel. For the first few days I had a conversion rate of 20% now I am having a lot of viewed content than the first few days but no sales. I only added another ad set targeting the same audience but without detailed targeting being on (http://prntscr.com/ohre71). It also started well but eventually faded out. I am really frustrated because after 2 months of testing ads and editing my store ( www.thecyclistsstore.com ) I saw some light for only 3 days and then dark again. Would really appreciate if you give me your feedback!
Thank you,
Francesco Grima
Is it from the audience?
Hi,
Since you've been working quite hard on your site, you should consider double checking your work on a Free store analyzer tool. This can make a significant difference because, as you might now, it can be easy to go "nose blind" to some of our own errors. This can really affect your ad spend and your general organic marketing.
So, using a free Store Checkup Tool like the one from AdScale might be of help as it will:

Hi @TheCyclists .
I can completely understand and relate with your frustration.
Unfortunately, I have to admit that this is the game of Facebook advertising. There will be days that sales will not be consistent and you will only get traffic with no sales.
However, you should keep testing interest targeting audiences, I do prefer single interest adsets just to know which interest performs better.
As for the Lookalikes you mentioned, if they work for you keep them, but I do believe without having sufficient data as it's a new store, you shouldn't go for Lookalikes rather interest based cold traffic.
Once your pixel is more mature with more events captured, then you should definitely utilize lookalikes audiences.
What I'd suggest for now, is keep testing new audiences, and try additional creatives for your ads. Decision making variable should only be the ROAS of each adset.
If it's not profitable or at least breaking even you should turn it off.
Hope this helps!
Hi @Panos_Tzitzinos ,
What would you suggest if the single interest audience is under 100k? Should I add an other interest?
Hey @TheCyclists !
You could maybe add a more generic interest and flex target it with the interest you have now giving you under 100k interest.
If it's something you should keep from our convo, is that you should test both of these two versions. And this should be your way of thinking when running ads on Facebook.
Test, test, test , drop what it doesn't work aka brings money keep what it does work and try to scale. That's the philosophy.
@Panos_Tzitzinos
