Few Sales but don't know how to scale

Few Sales but don't know how to scale

Hey Guys

I've been running tiktok ads for some time, and I even got some sales, but I don't know how I have to scale it.

Some campaigns made over 90$ and some made 0$. When I try to scale a ad that's been converting well it got me 0 sales every time. Also the sales come very inconsistent, on some days I get 1-2 Sales and some days I get 0. But one of the main things I reach out to Shopify Community is, because I lose a lot more money by trying to scale my ads, than I make with them.

One of my suppositions is, that it's hard to scale, because my "targeted Country" is on all countries which are available, and if I only  chose the countries that are converting, the CPM and CTR is way too high, and I don't get sales.

Can someone help me to learn how I can scale the ads, which get me sales? Or help me how I can target specific countries, without getting too high CPM and CTR?

Thanks for the answers : )

Hey, I totally get the challenges you're facing with scaling those TikTok ads. It can be frustrating when you see some sales but then hit a wall when trying to scale up. What’s really helped me is integrating my Shopify store with TikTok Shop. Honestly, it’s been a game changer. The connection brings in more traffic directly from TikTok, and it allows for a much smoother shopping experience since users don’t even have to leave the app to buy. TikTok is really pushing its shop feature right now, so you can get more visibility with less effort. If you connect your store, you’ll be able to fast track your success by tapping into a new stream of traffic that’s already warmed up and ready to convert. I think this could be the boost you need to get more consistent sales and scale without burning through your budget. Give it a shot—I genuinely believe you'll see a shift in your results! Let me know if you have any questions about setting it up I’d be happy to help. 😊

Hey @Panat_zhh , this is Alexis from Akohub

Scaling TikTok ads can definitely be tricky, but it sounds like you’re off to a good start! One of the first things to focus on is refining your targeting. If you’re targeting all available countries, that could be driving up your CPM and making it harder to convert. Check your Shopify and TikTok ad data to see which regions are performing best and narrow your targeting to those countries. This will help TikTok’s algorithm optimize more efficiently and save your budget from being spent on irrelevant traffic.

Next, make sure you’re refreshing your ad creatives regularly. TikTok thrives on engaging, authentic content, so try testing user-generated content, quick product demos, or fun lifestyle videos that match the platform’s vibe. Pair this with retargeting campaigns. Our app, Ako Retargeting, will help you to re-engage people who visited your site but didn’t convert. Retargeting is usually cheaper and more effective since you’re showing ads to an audience already familiar with your product.

Finally, focus on converting the customers you already have into repeat buyers. Implementing a loyalty program, like Ako Loyalty, is a great way to reward purchases, referrals, or even engagement. This keeps customers coming back and can help generate word-of-mouth sales. Combine that with a strong, mobile-optimized landing page that highlights clear CTAs, product benefits, and reviews, and you’ll be in a better position to scale.

Scaling is all about testing and optimizing, so take it step by step, and you’ll see results. Good luck! 🚀

Hi there,

So the reason you have high CPM is because of 'ad fatigue'. This is very common on TikTok. TikTok requires constant creative refreshes. If your creative looks like an ad, and people can tell it's an ad they will skip to the next video, which is what causes high CPM. The same thing will happen if they have already seen the ad before, they will move on again.

Keep creating fresh content, that looks organic. Chances are your CPM will be much lower.

Also try to use TikTok's exclude audience feature to remove countries that are driving traffic but not conversions. You can also try out lookalike audiences--this will show your ads to users that could potentially be interested.

TikTok has a lot ad features that I highly recommend exploring. I would also recommending posting reddit communities for more tips.

Hello there @Panat_zhh

Like @sanjnalal has already mentioned, the key to scaling with the ads would probably be not treat or just present them as ads that majority of people would flip pass. It needs to keep being engaging in different ways and fresh so the audience doesn’t get tired out. For this purpose, you might probably need a skilled content or social media marketer to help you out.

Hi @Panat_zhh ,

Scaling TikTok ads can be tricky, especially with inconsistent sales. From what you’ve described, targeting all countries might be spreading your budget too thin and affecting performance. Instead, focus on the countries that convert well, even if CPM and CTR are higher. High CPM often means reaching a more relevant audience, which can lead to better conversions. Additionally, consider refining your audience targeting, testing ad creatives, and running retargeting campaigns to maximize ROI.

That said, it’s difficult to suggest specific strategies without knowing your product or seeing your Shopify store. If you’re open to sharing more details, I’d be happy to provide tailored recommendations. Alternatively, you might explore other platforms like Google or Facebook ads, which offer more control over targeting and scaling strategies. Let me know how I can assist further!
