Your store isn't eligible for Instagram product tagging

You will be contacted by IGus support team, and get a first step forward to figure out why your store isn't eligible for Instagram product tagging.
On my side @chemolguy, I will first check up your website and your Instagram account in order to make sure you are eligible, and get back to you as soon as possible.
The first level of Instagram and Shopify checking we provide is about:
❶ Your Terms & Policies page
If you don't have this page at the moment, you will have to create it.
You can also generate them automatically for free with the following Shopify tools:
> Terms and conditions
> Privacy policy
> Refund policy
❷ The physical products that you are selling
Some products cannot be sold on Instagram and Facebook (animals, weapons, adult products, etc...)
> Check here to find all products categories that are prohibited
❸ The country from where you are operating your Instagram account
> Some countries are not taking part of the supported market which makes them ineligible for product tagging feature.
If these three first points are ok, then we can move onto the second checking and assistance. But first, let met check all of this and come back to you very soon. 🙂

I would like to share with you some of the reasons that could explain your ineligibility for Instagram product tagging feature:
❶ You didn't convert your Instagram account to a business account
Please convert it now if you didn't make it yet > See tutorial
❷ You didn't connect your Instagram account to your Facebook page
❸ Your product catalogue is not connected properly
❹ You made too many appeals for Instagram eligibility in an excessively short lapse of time.
Please note: This list gathers the most popular issues for getting disapproved by Instagram. There are actually more than 100 criteria that must be thoroughly respected so as to get eligible.
In the form you completed, you said that your Facebook Shopping is already enabled. Could you please confirm this information ?
Also, I have to know if you have converted your Instagram account to a business account ?

Thanks for providing help. Here is my issue:
I'm trying to add the Instagram channel to my shopify store and it is not working, like the picture at the beginning. the message is "Your store isn’t eligible for Instagram product tagging"
I already tried everything and I would like you to guide me from the start please. I actually deleted everything I've been working on (even FB shop), and I just reconnected it 2 days ago. I'm already approved on Facebook but for instagram I'm still ineligible.
I also completed the form on your website, do you have any suggestions please ?

Yes I have an instgram business account. It is connected to my facebook business account. My facebook shop is connected to my shopify store properly
I made maybe 4 or 5 appeals. My products are clothes, so they are ok. There are thousands of other like companies setup with shopify and instagram product tagging. What exactly do you do to get me eligible? I understand you don't ask for my passwords, and thanks god because I got scammed once and I will never trust anyone. However, you want to connect to my screen via teamviewer, but what exactly would you be doing exactly?

During our screen sharing session, I will check your Shopify and Business Manager account settings. After this meeting, and of course if you still want us to help you solve the issue, we will need you to create a staff account on your Shopify and Business manager. This account enables us to manage and fix everything without you sharing your personal passwords. Once you are eligible, we will delete together this staff account.

Greetings- I had this same problem and I contacted Daniel Larsen with GrowMeow Marketing daniel@growmeow.com. and he was able to direct me with the changes I needed to make and then worked with IG to get my shop approved. I found him on a shopify chatroom, did some diligence and then contacted him. I signed his contract, paid his fee and then he sent me a spreadsheet of all the things I needed to change. Once I did that he then worked with IG directly and I was then approved. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
