Folder Structure for collections and products

HI Guys, new to Shopify.

Quick question are the /collections/ and /products/ folders mandatory, if so is there an SEO plugin that supports change?

At this time I have the following

domain/collections/manufacturer-name

and

domain/products/product-name

I would like to achieve the following

domain/manufacturer-name/product-name

I guess an example would be domain/nike/air-max-90

Hope that makes sense, any suggestions appreciated.

It's built in. The products/ or collections/ maps to a specific template in the theme. Can't change it.
