SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hello, I have recently opened my store, I have a Pintrest account where I have posted some content, it has got a few views but no one is even visiting my store, let alone purchasing anything. I know it is early days but if anyone could help with how to get customers to come to my store and how to get sales, that would be great. 🙂
I would suggest you to SEO optimize your store to boost your online visibility and reach. Apart from Pinterest, establish a solid presence on other social media channels, especially Instagram. This will help you reach more potential customers and increase sales. Hope this helps.
Hi @LWPaperie
Apart from doing Pinterest content for the newly opened store, you can also consider doing On-page SEO to get more traffic from search engines directly.
To further assess your store situation and provide a more practical idea, could you please share the store URL here? Thank you!
@LWPaperie Thank you for sharing the store URL with me so I can take a further look. I have spent some time and provided several feedback below for your reference. You can have a check and see if they are practical to use directly:
1. I notice you only posted some content on Pinterest, which is not enough for visitors to come to your store, especially for someone who would like to search for it on search engines like Google. I tried to search your store on Google, but I got zero results eventually. You can get started of doing SEO, and this article from Google can be a guideline for you.
2. The two images below are missing Alt text content. You can regard alt text as a way to let Google know what the image is about. The way to add the missing alt text is by accessing the Shopify admin page and locating related images to click and add the alt text content directly.
3. The length of the meta description content on the homepage seems to be too short, and the recommended length is 120-200 characters. You can add more details or keywords on this aspect and make it richer, so that visitors can know more details about what you sell and the highlights of the product.
first of all figure out who your target audience is and then find them online (run ads only to those targeted people), dm on social, run giveaways, partner with other "wedding" businesses and have them promote you and you promote them. get found by your customers 🙂
Add a blog to your store, every blog post can be indexed by search engines. Include relevant keywords, links to related products, add robots meta tags to be more visible.
Moreover, you can add social sharing buttons to cover all possible traffic channels.
Shopify has blog out of the box, but if you want more advanced features, you can use third-party blog apps (I use Magefan's blog, for example).
Hey there,
Good going! I recommend adding a few strategies:
First, consider enhancing your SEO to improve your store's visibility on search engines like Google. This involves optimizing your website's content, including adding alt text to images and expanding your meta descriptions.
Additionally, expanding your presence on other social media platforms, such as Instagram and TikTok, can help you reach a broader audience. TikTok, in particular, offers a unique opportunity with its TikTok Shop feature, allowing you to sell directly through the app.
Lastly, consider adding a blog to your store to improve search engine indexing and engage potential customers with relevant content.
Good luck 😄

Hi,
So basically, whenever a store is launched and in its initial days of struggle, there are free options as well as paid options, which are as follows:
Free or Low-Cost Methods:
SEO Optimization: Optimize your product pages and blog content with keywords your customers are searching for. (You can use Google Trends for ranked keywords/trending keywords)
Social Media: I know that you are regularly posting on Pinterest, but you need to post regularly on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Focus on visuals, behind-the-scenes, and product use-cases.
Blogging: Write articles that help or inspire your target audience. Use them to lead readers to your product pages.
Paid Method:
Facebook & Instagram Ads: Start with a small budget and test different creatives. Target interests and lookalike audiences.
Google Shopping Ads: Good for capturing intent-driven traffic ("buy waterproof backpack").
Influencer Marketing: Partner with micro-influencers to review or showcase your products.
To build long-term customer relationships, it’s important to engage your audience and reward their loyalty.
You can use tools to:
Offer rewards for purchases, referrals, or reviews
Send email marketing campaigns with personalized offers
Deliver web push notifications for flash sales, restocks, or cart reminders
Automate customer journeys based on behavior and purchase history
