SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Good afternoon. I have a musical instrument gear store. https://heavymetalfx.com. I advertise on FB, Instagram, and a worldwide podcast. I was recently getting 100-150 visitors a day and now I get 150-200 visitors a day. My conversion rate is .08%. I believe I should have at least 1-3% per day. Most all of my products have to follow vendor policies. Most of them have minimum MAP pricing, where you can sell, and so forth. Therefore, it makes it hard to do sales and things. I do offer a "New Customer" pop-up to save 10%, but that's it unless the vendor authorizes a sale.
What recommendations can I get to raise my conversions? I've tried some apps like Reconvert, Parcel Panel, and Minta Automated Social Videos. (Just installed them). Does Shopify offer any affordable services to help me get my site up to par?
Thank you.

Thank you for getting back to me. I'm not sure what you mean by "Do you make audience on facebook and retarget them?do you analyze the report on google analytics 4?"
Hello HeavyMetalFX,
Personalization can play a significant role in improving the conversion rate of your online store. Some of the strategies you may consider:
I will be happy to discuss with you more, let me know.
Thank you. Can you recommend any apps that can do this? Thanks
Except for sending personalized email campaigns, our app CartUp AI Recommendations provides tailored product recommendations, customizes product pages for each individual visitor, and retargets visitors who have previously visited your website but didn't make a purchase.
For sending personalized email campaigns, you may consider any good Customer Data Platform. There are many available on the Shopify app store.
Also to increase traffic to your web store, you may want to consider our Category Page app, which creates custom landing pages that search engines such as Google and Bing can crawl, thereby helping to attract more visitors to your store.
You can give our apps a try. We have a 60-day trial period.
Did you just run ads recently? This is because it might take some time for ad platforms to learn about your ads and audience. So if your target audience is properly set up, just be patient and constantly optimize your website.
Here are some of my suggestions after taking a look at your store:
1. Remember to add a favicon to your Shopify website. Your store's favicon now is the default globe icon. This can make potential trust your store less.
2. Talking about trust, I see your store doesn't have any product reviews. This also makes your customers feel insecure about shopping with you. So you should consider importing reviews from marketplaces like AliExpress to your products to enhance trust.
3. Ensure that the main image of each product has a similar size so it won't appear like in the screenshot:
4. Try using the same background style for the main image of each product as well (to make your store more consistent). I noticed some of your product images have a solid white background while some have a lifestyle background.
5. Consider making your product description more scannable (by listing under bullet points or split it into smaller paragraphs)
6. Work on simplifying and rearranging your footer. It's a bit disorganized and contains many repeated information (the shipping policy, terms and conditions, language and currency switcher, etc.) Also, the American Express icon seems distorted.
Overall, I believe you tried your best with the language and currency switcher, wishlist, live chat support, color swatch, etc., so that's all I can suggest for now.
I hope that this helps!
Hey @HeavyMetalFX
0.08% is really low i think the way the page is put together is a problem. From my stand point only stubborn and dedicated users are making the purchase.
From top of my head:
What kind of budget do you have on your hands? I think some kind of UX/UI Audit would be a great solution here as there is a lot to improve.
Thank you. I'll look at this. My budget is really low right now. You're right. The information on the products is way too lengthy. I just copied and pasted it. I will see if I can move the "Add to Cart" button directly under the photo.
I changed some things. I shortened the Description on some items, moved the pay button up. Removed the video on the home page. I think it looks better.
Great, sure looks a little bit better💪
Try adding some contrasting colors to the Add to Cart button as well.
Let me know If that changed anything in terms of CR.
Thank you. I will.
I did some research on button colors and conversions. I changed the color of the add to cart buttons. Thoughts.

I will let you know. I also setup my Facebook pixel to track my ads.
I will. Just set it up, and it was easy to setup as well. (I used the Nabu for FB pixel). I'll look at the Google app next.
I had 5 orders yesterday, 4 of them from my Reverb site, but none the less, they were orders. I really appreciate your help.

hey HeavyMetalFX,
great to see you are rocking with 5 orders. more to come in future if you analyze your visitors and retarget them with proper ad copy and landing page. all the best.
cheers.
Thank you. I'll check these out.
There can be lot's of reason behind this and I know that there is no one-simple solution for this problem. However you can increase your chance dramatically with a few quick trick.
I checked your store on my desktop device and it just directly gives me 10% even before I saw any product. As I understand your marketing channels most of your visitors should coming from mobile and these popups really leave a bad taste on mobile visitors.
Another issue, when you just give away 10% off with generic discounts, it doesn't have any meaning.
Instead of just giving away generic discounts, wait until they checked your products, have interest and start consideration. Then make them a time-limited offer, a reason to decide buying decision right away. I tried to explain all of these details in here: https://marketinglib.com/conversion-rate-optimization-guide/
Thank you! That article is extremely helpful.
Glad to hear that. Wishing best of all...
I turned off the popup. I see what you mean about that. I use a laptop most of the time, so it's not as bad, but on the mobile site it is.
That's great move man!
If you're into giving discounts when visitors most interested, I can give lifetime free access to this app
That looks like a good app. I can use it for free? I can't afford $99 a month.
It'll be lifetime free for you 🙂 Just install it and we can talk over the live chat.
OK. Thank you.
Hi @HeavyMetalFX,
You can consider giving your images an eye-catching background. The Pixc: Lifestyle Photos app will be a helpful tool for your store as it can transform your product photos into vibrant lifestyle shots by putting them on real-life settings. It can boost engagement and potentially lead to more sales.
Feel free to give it a try and see the difference it makes. You can get 5 bonus images to test it out on your store.
Give us a heads-up at hello@pixc.com if you need any assistance.
Best,
Pixc
