Do anyone use this option in Google Ads PM campaign settings - "Optimize campaign for acquiring new customers"? Does it change performance if chosen? Can someone explain it?
Did you choose "Only bid for new customers" or the other option? Also, I don't understand how should I count additional value 😊 Can you advice?
The tag will try and find new customers, where customer that convert will usually not be in. This may increase your spending and lower your ROAS. As each niche and business is different, always test for yourself. Do not rely on other users data to verify it will be good for you.
When testing, the recommended method is to test 1 month vs 1 month. then compare the data.
Make sure to take into consideration seasonal events, or product awareness events to avoid biased data.
Ask yourself, is a new customer more valuable? If yes, how much more valuable? Then add it, otherwise if pure sales values are what you want, don't add any modifiers.
