SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
@Josh_Uebergang i was hoping you can help on this.
I recently moved to shopify. I am using Shopify Google App however I want to set up Remarketing Camp for Google ads. Could you let me know what is the best way to do this.
Should I remove the app connection and connect everything through GTM for Analytics/Ads / Merchant Centre- is there limitation on the data which is available via this route?
Thanks in advance
By default the app you are using should submit the correct remarketing data.
You can verify by doing the following.
Go to Google Merchant Center > Products > all products > and check the item id's
It should have a pattern such as shopify_US_123456789_123456789
Now go to Google Ads > top right corner > tools and settings > audience manager > audience sources > hover over google ads and click on view details > now view the ecomm_prodid values
They should be the same.
If they are the same, you can setup a Google Ads Display remarketing campaign using the data feed as your source.
Hi Emmanuel,
Thanks for the reply.
I followed the instructions which you provided.
1. that is showing shopify_GB_123456789_123456789 - which is fine
2. This is not showing google ads instead this>
Sorry - what am I missing?

Click on details for the Google Ads tag card. Here view your data.
nothing is there - as the tag is not connected to shopify its from the old site.
Then I recommend setting up your remarketing tag.
