SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hi Community,
I'm a digital marketing consultant who's being pulled more into the world of Shopify over the past few months. So much to learn! Like this problem:
For one client, I've set the syncing among Shopify, Google Merchant, and Google Ads to take advantage of Shopify's *automated* shopping campaign functionality. In Google Ads, I'm getting this error message:
Your campaigns can't tailor dynamic ads based on user activity when the required parameter doesn't match your feed. Make sure the audience source is sending the required parameter correctly and your feed has the right items.
The values received from your audience source for the required parameter for your business type may be formatted differently than in your feed or missing from your feed. Click "Download" to see the top values received for the required parameter that aren't matching your feed. Note that Google Analytics refers to parameters for remarketing as Dynamic Attributes. Issue: 100% of ecomm_prodid values received in the past day didn't match your feed
Your campaigns can't tailor dynamic ads based on user activity when your audience source doesn't send the required parameter. Make sure the required parameter is being sent correctly.

Issue: 93% of audience source activity missing ecomm_prodid in the last day
Since I did the synched/automated way to set the smart shopping campaign via Shopify, why I am getting this error? Do I need to add some code manually to fix this?
Go to tools and settings > audience manager > audiences > google ads > more details
And check the ecomm_prodid or id value and compare this value to what is found on the product landing page. You can use https://tagassistant.google.com/
Hello.
1. I'm not using tag manager so I can't use the tag assistant.
2. This is what Ads shows in the details for the last 11 clicks:
1) Tag Manager is not required to use Tag Assistant.
Tag Assistant is a testing tool to check all Google tracking, such as Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager etc.
2) If the data looks correct to you, then all is good. However you need compare with Tag Assistant to check.
Thanks for the additional details. When I use https://tagassistant.google.com/, I get the following fields for Ads conversion tracking. I don't see ecomm_prodid or id value.
Hey @davidculbertson,
We understand it could be a pain in the @#! to implement Google's dynamic remarketing pixel, so that's why we've created an app to do it for you.
It fires the right snippet with the right attributes and values every time.
Check it out.
