SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hi,
I connect my Shopify store through the google channel app with google merchant center. Everything works well, but I have two challenges:
- My store in Canadian and set up in CAD. I am also selling my product in the US. I have different product pricing for Canada and the US. I use the a manual conversion from Shopify and on my store it works well. But on Google shopping it converts CAD to US and it does not consider my price adjustment for the US. How I can set up to have two different prices for US and Canada in google merchant center?
- I have the text of my product descriptions formatted in Shopify, but when the API imports it from Shopify into Google Merchant Center the formatting gets lost (most importantly the bullet points). How can I format the text in Google merchant center?
Thanks,
Philipp

This is an accepted solution.
You need to use an app that can pull the correct currency values, for example: https://apps.shopify.com/multiple-google-shopping-feeds
If you are using the free app, it can not be done.

Hi Emmanuel,
Thanks you for the replay. I will look into an app. You also have experience in formatting text in google shopping?
Thanks,
Philipp
I have a great guide on this here: https://feedarmy.com/kb/google-shopping-title-attribute-optimization-google-merchant-center/
Hi Thanks for sharing. Yes, I created a supplemental feed and formatted it in html. It works well in Google merchant center, but if I go to the google shopping (google serach), the product description looses the html formatting.
Yes that sounds correct, rich elements (basic HTML tags) while introduced 1+ year ago, is still not used in shopping ads.
But it is worth adding, for when Google is ready to use it.
