I am trying to figure out why my account was suspended. I had 5 disapproved products. Could it be for this reason?

Google can suspend your Merchant Center for various reasons, sometimes it's related to your products and sometimes to issues with your store or your campaigns. Check the account issues section, it should give you a better idea.
The most common reason for the Merchant Center being suspended is because part of the required contact information is missing in your store. Please make sure you have a contact page that includes at least 2 of those 3:
1. Full address
2. Phone number
3. Contact email
Nevertheless, you can save the hassle of creating and managing your Merchant Center or Google Shopping campaigns with an app like AdScale. It's a Shopify app that provides a full advertising platform across Google & Facebook, running ads based on your own store data (that they don't have).

Not adding any added content, and simply copy-pasting other sites
Having multiple websites in the same niche
Not being honest with what you sell or how you portray the business
Having a low trust factor or no track record of order fullfilment

I have noticed that my account was suspended as soon as I connected with the shopify store, when there were 5 products not approved. I hope that is the reason because I checked and re checked all the other policies and the seem ok.
quick update about the matter. I have removed the 5 disapproved items and I got an email stating that my merchant center was reactivated. I hope that the ads account will follow...
