Google: "Discovered - currently not indexed"

Hello,

I have a question regarding Google indexing. When I go to the Google Search Console->URL inspection->LIVE TEST to check our blog articles (new and old) it says this: "URL can be indexed" (see the attached screenshot below).

However, when I open "GOOGLE INDEX" on the same page it says: "Discovered - currently not indexed" (see the attached screenshot below).

Our articles are from the last and this year, but none of them is indexed. Also we did request indexing for every article.

Does anyone know why Google might not want to index our articles? What can be fixed here?

Thanks!

Hi Irena,

Please see this Google documentation

https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/7440203?hl=en

"Discovered - currently not indexed: The page was found by Google, but not crawled yet. Typically, Google wanted to crawl the URL but this was expected to overload the site; therefore Google rescheduled the crawl. This is why the last crawl date is empty on the report."

Is this because Shopify is now hosted on GCP and Google doesn't want to crawl the pages and put undue pressure on their own servers during the busiest time of year for the sites? Obviously keeping the e-commerce engine humming is most important.

I can respect that BUT when will they start crawling Shopify blogs again? As you can see the Backlog is getting big.

You can see from the image it all started as we entered "the season" now this it is passed let's start crawling again, please.

Thanks
