Google Shopping Ads not running

Hello

I have created a Google Shopping campaign for my product in my Shopify Store, but the campaign that I have created are barely getting any impressions. The campaign is not limited by budget and I have just set the bid strategy to max click to get more traction.

Maybe the problem lies with the feed. I have fetched the feed from Shopify to GMC via API. In Shopify, it says that only some of my products are approved. See screenshot below:

But in GMC it says nearly all my products are approved:

I don't know if that's the problem for the campaign not running?

Furthermore, in Shopify, I can't link my Google Ads account to my Shopify store because I can't find it in the drop-down menu. I don't know if that could be a problem?

This is an accepted solution.

Do not use Shopify as your UI for Google Merchant Center-related data.

Instead, go to Google Merchant Center UI and use this. It will be more informative and accurate.

If you are using smart shopping, and you have no data in Google Ads, then yes low or no performance is expected.

Consider using standard shopping campaigns in stead.

Smart shopping needs at least 25 sales in the last 45 days, accurate remarketing tracking and conversion tracking.

Thanks for the reply.

The campaign is already a standard shopping campaign, so that's not the issue.

But in terms of the discrepancy between the approved products in Shopify and GMC, do you know if that's a problem for the performance, and if so how to fix it?
