Google shopping app - add to cart tracking

Hi.

I have 3 questions about the google shopping app and google ads.

1:

The app have installed conversion actions automatic, all working well for many months until a few days ago.

Now the Google Shopping App "Add To Cart" action have not recorded conversions in 7 days and tag last seen 3 days ago.

Is there a way i can test / trigger this action? Have tried to add products to cart.

I have installed a cart slider recently, could this make any problems with tracking?

2:

Which of these conversion actions should i include in "conversions"

As you can see i only have purchase enabled now.

3:

On product pages i see double conversion tracking tag with the same conversion ID but different conversion Label.

Does it matter?

Many thanks.

You can manually add it again, I have a full step by step guide https://feedarmy.com/kb/track-micro-conversions-in-google-ads-with-shopify/

If there are multiple conversion tags, it should not cause an issue of not tracking.

Only include purchase in your conversions. However you can also add others, but that depends on your strategy. If you are not sure what to do, then don't add anything else other then purchase.

Thank you.

Before manually adding it, do you know how i can test if it's still there?

Only the "add to cart" action is making trouble - how can it suddently disappear?

The easiest one to test is page view or add to basket. Do these two actions.

Then tomorrow, go to Google Ads > conversions and hover over the status, and check when it was last viewed.

Google Ads is not live, that is why you need to wait.

After I activated apple pay and gpay the tag was active again.

But even though I manually created the tag via your guide, none of them will detect conversion when i add to cart.

You can use verify goal to check if it worked. Maybe the add to cart goal you created was not setup correctly.

Hey there,

so happy to have found this feed because I deleted these conversions in ads because .. stupid ...

As I am a total newbee with shopify: Why are these conversions called "Google Shopping App ..."? Is it something special or is it just a normal "add to card conversion", "page view conversion" etc.

Is it possible to somehow import them again via shopify or do I need to set them all up manually as Emanuel explains in his step by step guide?

Thanks so much!

Because the Google Shopping App created them and for people who check the conversion action names to easily identify what is what.

Essentially they are micro conversions.

A normal sale is called a macro conversion.

You could try to delete the app and install again. I'm not sure if it works. You could try, if it fails, follow my guide.

How did you delete them?  My conversion actions are a mess.  Trying to clean it up.... Thanks!

Go to Google Ads > tools and settings > conversions > here delete them.

As  @EmmanuelFlossie says but be careful - once deleted you can't use the "undone"-button 😉
